Yesterday afternoon/evening made a selection of prints at Crescent gallery in Scarborough. It was final evening session of workshops led by printmaker Dawn Brookes, so a shame that this is coming to a close for me as I relocate and say goodbye. I was actually pleased and confident with my work, so a good way on which to close this chapter.

Last week enjoyed visiting exhibition and Print Fair at Hepworth. Good to chat to and see work by York Printmakers, friends Steph and Iain from Stait...

Working on printing plates for last 2 sessions at Crescent arts. On Friday planning to visit Wakefield Print Fair and next week will be my last York Printmakers meeting before moving I missed last weeks printmaking session as my energies had gone into creativity conference at Wyedale Hall. Lovely to spend several days with a small group (16) sharing the importance of living a creative life and to be able to share in music with my drum.

This wintry weather has curtailed my making as stud...

snow....

This weeks freezing cold and snow has been rather a shock to the system, particularly having enjoyed the recent peaks of 42 degrees in the shade in Australia. However, I have continued and enjoyed my daily swim.

Last weeks print course in Scarborough was cancelled (snow) and the previous week I came home early from Crescent arts having been to the dentist and getting a headache with the cold. I had planned to go to Wakefield Print Fair on Friday but that too has been postponed till next...

Another busy week. Have booked extra studio time at Crescent arts, Scarborough, this afternoon before evening print course.

Also continuing to research further into veganism and have become part of an online 'plastics free' Lent group, both of which have their challenges.

I have also increased my fitness committment to swim six times a week for an hour, which involves a 2 mile return walk between home and pool, early each  morning, with Saturday as time off. I know this won't...

Have needed the last two weeks home to allow a sense of order after being on such a fantastic trip to Australia, so waiting on builder to price project, established early morning swimming pattern and refocussed on veganism. It was good to catch up with York Printmakers in new venue, and to have another inspired visit to Bils and Rye art gallery, Kirkbymoorside. Tomorrow/Thurs is trip to Leeds Art Gallery talk 'Becoming an artist in Leeds' and printmaking season starting next week at Crescent ...

Since finishing my online MA in Fine Art in 2016, with the Open College of the Arts (OCA/UCA) for 3 years, it's been a busy time.... reflecting on process, continuing to make work, and networking. I've really enjoyed networking with 'real' local artists ... all the while continuing to value my online cohort. It was fantastic to meet my fellow global students in Barnsley as we worked to put our degree show together at The Civic Gallery.

Initially, I missed the course, the contacts and ti...

In the last couple of months, I've had lots of food for thought.

Visiting the print fair at The Hepworth, Wakefield, followed next day with a visit to the bookmaking fair at the Tetley in Leeds were really interesting, particularly as both venues were new to me. Enjoyed seeing work and having conversations.

I've also been on two day courses... an artists print and book making day at 'Untangled Threads', Scarborough, and a Cyanotype course at Crescent Arts in Scarborough, which wer...
