Working on printing plates for last 2 sessions at Crescent arts. On Friday planning to visit Wakefield Print Fair and next week will be my last York Printmakers meeting before moving I missed last weeks printmaking session as my energies had gone into creativity conference at Wyedale Hall. Lovely to spend several days with a small group (16) sharing the importance of living a creative life and to be able to share in music with my drum.
This wintry weather has curtailed my making as studio so cold and printmaking at Crescent arts, Wakefield Printfair, and York Printmakers monthly meeting all needed to be resheduled. However this has allowed time to invest in planning our move and booking furniture removal/6 months storage for May 1st and Isle of Man Ferry May 2nd. Also booked a hostel retreat on Calf of Man, a bird sanctuary island, mid May, for 3 nights and fisherman to get us there. We're also timing our arrival to catch up with artist friends at Isle of Man Arts Festival over Bank holiday weekend... so much to be looking forward to. Hopefully we will be running our own open study during the 6 months we're there.
This morning had a lovely chat with friends at Chalk Interiors in Malton when I dropped off some art work for them. Derek is calling to house tomorrow to look at some of my larger pieces of work... exciting times as my work and their inspirational furniture seems to work well together.
